Summary
I focus on building and nurturing solutions (engineering) that are context appropriate (design), net positive for the people and ecosystems involved (sustainability) and can have impact at scale through new business creation (entrepreneurship). I’ve been a Partner at Tuesday Capital since the end of 2023, and have worked closely with the team since 2016. I invest capital (as the name suggests) and time (as the name also suggests (N.B. - I also work M, W, Th and F)) to support stand-out founders in building what we need next. Previously, I founded then led the global venture practice at frog for 10 years. For the decade before that, I prepared by being a VC-backed founder in SF, where I’m from. (Well, technically, I grew up in Berkeley — but spent 2000-2017 in SF.) If you want to go back further, there's more in the profile. I am a fan of the parenthetical (see above and right here), and prefer the n-dash to the colon as well as the m-dash to the semi-colon or period. I am known to run on. Speaking of which, I run on a mixture of ultra fine point sharpies, 100% cacao chocolate and sunshine, acknowledging that only one of these is a renewable resource at scale. Since design school, my handwriting is always all caps. I’m not shouting, it just looks better on sketches. Fortunately, I don’t caps-lock.
