Summary

I help people play, learn and solve problems together, through creative uses of art, media and technology. A multimedia innovator and social entrepreneur, I have worked in education, entertainment and journalism, helping launch a wide range of products and services. We created games and digital media services at Apple and Macromedia -- and developed collaborative software for online communities at Wikipedia and NewsTrust. I now run GreenChange.net, a climate action network that helps people go green and fight climate change together. We develop new ways to inform, engage and connect diverse communities, by developing events, media, services and online resources with our partners. Previously, I was movement communications manager at Wikimedia Foundation, where I managed and edited the Wikimedia blog -- and helped us communicate better as a movement. In my first 3 years as product manager, I led the development of many new tools for Wikipedia: Notifications, Media Viewer, Thanks -- and I was an advocate for a 'culture of kindness.'​ My previous ventures include: • NewsTrust, a nonprofit social news network; • Handtap, a wireless content provider for mobile devices; • Shockwave.com, a web entertainment site at Macromedia; • Apple Computer's Multimedia Lab, a new media R&D group; • Videowest, a producer of rock journalism and entertainment. I enjoy working at the intersection of content, community and technology, engaging users to interact productively with each other.
