Summary
With 13 years of senior management experience in high technology organizations, Frank has led a number of start-up and large organizations in pioneering core technologies and new applications for the Internet and enhanced business processes Most recently, Frank headed the unified IP communications business unit (netCOM) of netPCS Networks, developing a next-generation web services platform for real-time interactive communications over the Internet. Prior to net.PCS, he was CTO and co-founder of Wallet Media Inc., specializing in transactional infrastructure for enabling next-generation mobile e-commerce and location-based services. At QNX Software Systems, Frank oversaw research and development of the world's leading real-time operating system and associated technologies in advanced networking, embedded web servers, consumer-oriented Internet appliances and more. In 1990, as CTO at RDM Corporation, he led the development of technologies such as high-speed image/character recognition systems used in online workflow automation by customers such as IBM, Xerox and AT&T as well as prototyping the first eCheck cleared over the Internet by the US government. In 1999, Frank worked with leaders from Nortel, Alcatel, JDSFitel and others to found Canada's National Capital Institute of Telecommunications, where he served on the Board of Directors. Specialties: Technology & Marketing Strategy, Business Development as well as Leadership of R&D and Product Management/Marketing for client-server applications delivering IP Communications/services (eg. transmodal messaging services). Other areas include imaging systems, wireless thin client devices, mcommerce and workflow automation systems etc.
