Summary
I am a respected professional providing expertise in governance, strategy implementation and capability development, working with global organisations to assess maturity and build capability. With a broad experience across industries, including Banking, Telecomms, Government, Infrastructure and Utilities, I bring knowledge of best practice to clients of all sizes and sectors. Working in Europe, US and Australia has given me a strong interest in the cultural aspects of management. I am a Principal Consultant with MetaPM, an independent Australian owned project management service provider that offers market leadership in portfolio, programme and project management delivery, training, consulting and capability-development services. I am a strong advocate of excellence through professionalisation in project management, demonstrated by volunteering at the Australian Institute of Project Management in a number of roles including National Director and serving on a number of committees, including Governance and Ethics, Audit and Risk, Communications Committee, and judging for the Project Management Achievement Awards (PMAA). I also have many years experience in providing education services, most recently in project management lecturing and tutoring at the Swinburne University of Technology. I am a keen writer and speaker on strategy implementation and portfolio, programme and project management office best practice, and I have a passion for building communities of practice. I was a founder member of the AIPM’s National and Victorian PMO SIGs, and established ‘The Office’ column on PMO matters in the AIPM Project Manager magazine. In my spare time, I am building my knowledge of advances in genetic genealogy through participating in and contributing to leading edge global citizen science initiatives. If you share any of these passions, get in touch and together we can grow the communities and share experiences.
