Summary
Georgette brings her expertise in impact investing and strategic consulting to strengthen local communities. She currently serves as Board Chair of the Nonprofit Finance Fund and on the Investment & Audit Committee for The Russell Family Foundation and on the Investment Committee of the Orcas Island Community Foundation. Georgette was one of the early pioneers of impact investing. Her "Take Action! The Impact Investing Summit" brought together asset owners and other investors managing more than a combined $4.5 trillion in assets in 2012. Since Take Action's founding in 2007, Georgette has helped catalyze at least $350 million in new commitments to impact investing. The focus of Take Action! was on those investors seeking premium financial returns while creating social and environmental impact. Georgette presented to the US Senate in December 2013 (http://www.dsoc.senate.gov/2013/12/11/senate-democrats-meet-with-leaders-in-philanthropic-community/) and released Insights & Innovations: A Global Study of Impact Investing + Institutional Investors (http://correlationconsulting.com/?page_id=21) at the US State Department in April 2012. She has also published in the San Francisco Federal Reserve's Community Development Review (2010) and was an advisor to Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors' Solutions to Impact Investors: From Strategy to Implementation (2009). Georgette earned her M.B.A. from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and her B.A. from Amherst College.
