Summary
I am the CEO, owner, and founder at TKO Marketing Consultants and ipXchange, two intertwined companies with a common aim to help our customers sell more in the rapidly shifting technology industry. Established in 1995, TKO has always operated on a fundamental principle: We will never compromise on doing what is right for our customer. At a quick glance, TKO looks like any other specialist technology B2B marketing agency. We offer digital marketing, PR, advertising, and creative & technical writing services, all tailored to each customer's individual needs. We’re not offering an off-the-shelf package to be thrown in a basket to tick off the shopping list. How can that be right for every customer? But even TKO’s personal approach would mean nothing if it doesn’t solve our customers' marketing problems. There’s no point in being pretty but useless! I’ve been doing this for nearly 30 years, so I’ve obviously seen large-scale changes in the way semiconductors are marketed. That said, I don’t think anything has shaken the industry more than the COVID-19 Pandemic. After that, I could not tell what the ‘right thing to do’ was for our customers. The whole business landscape had changed. All bets were off. TKO had always been innovative, creative, curious, and passionate about problem-solving. And as managing director, it's my job to make sure that we remain that way. So I started another company, ipXchange, which focusses on talking to who I think are the heart of the industry: the design engineers that will use my customers’ products. ipXchange was launched at Embedded World 2022. We had a booth supported by the TKO team and a bare-bones website where we aimed to build a community for design engineers and a space where they could see world-class content about disruptive semiconductors. By the next Embedded World, we had dedicated ipXchange team members, over 1000 followers on LinkedIn, a queue to engage with us and play the game on our stand, a briefcase of boards selected from the 100 articles on the website, and I was talking to design engineers about my recent video podcasts with semiconductor manufacturers! I have no idea where this is going, but what an adventure! And that’s what you’ll get from me and my team. A damn good adventure, and I guarantee it’ll help you sell more!
