Summary
Architects plan, design, and then monitor construction of things. An enterprise is certainly a very complicated thing and needs continuous architecting, including its IT strategy, IT capabilities and governance, IT project portfolio and individual IT project architectures. If done well and in a coordinated and consistent way, the enterprise will have the IT toolbox to do well. If done poorly, IT will soon be stuck in inefficiencies and technical debt, unable to serve the business. I have spent the best of two decades as a consultant, doing engineering design, software development, solution management, project management, outsourcing deals, business development and general management for a long list of Danish and international companies across a range of industries such as manufacturing, life sciences, logistics & supply chain and defense. I believe my experiences have resulted in a good fit to my current role as Enterprise Architect, trusted advisor for the business and IT management and our stakeholders. My strength in the role is to drive a proactive dialogue between business and business-facing IT stakeholders, to translate their strategic requirements into something that the IT toolbox can realize inside the constraints of budget, resources, time and compliance. I strive to speak the language of both business and IT and make the IT agenda understandable and relevant for all stakeholders. I’m AEA Enterprise Architect, TOGAF and ArchiMate certified and have a very strong SAP background, starting with an SAP Solution Architect certification and lately onto a close strategic relationship with SAP. I’m the owner of our LeanIX EAM installation and the architecture around it (Signavio, ServiceNow, Onetrust, SAP Solution Manager etc.).
