Summary
Hi, I’m Haven. I’m an Executive Coach, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, and Nia Instructor. I believe speed is the illusion of mastery and to be your best, you need to slow down. When you slow down, you can get crystal clear about your priorities and then you can focus, be super productive, and happy. As background, I spent 25+ years in marketing and business development leading teams, developing talent, crafting campaigns, and generating new revenues for RJR Nabisco, Sega of America, Sony PlayStation, and more. It looked like success to the outside world. But I was mostly in dis-ease - saying yes to everything and everyone except myself. In my first Nia class in 2008, I found my true calling – consciousness - and never turned back. My passion for Nia, healing through conscious movement led me to Reiki Jin Kei Do energy therapy and integral to our lineage, a dedication to mindfulness, meditation, compassion, and wisdom. Circling back to what I truly loved about my corporate experience – developing talent - now I help corporate professionals and business owners be their best at work and at home. Through conscious listening and presence, I hold space for people so they can slow down and regain clarity on what they feel is truly important for them, their businesses, and their whole lives. After working with me, clients say they: -are better able to manage their energy, time, and emotions, -are more focused and productive, -feel less stressed, and -are happier. I also speak and teach Mindfulness and Meditation to companies, customizing programs - for example, if the focus is wellness, they will see a reduction in stress levels, absenteeism, and health care costs, AND a rise in team member engagement and productivity. If the goals are to improve team engagement, delegation, and morale, they will experience an increase focus, productivity, teamwork, and happiness AND a decrease in stress levels and absenteeism and an increase in employee retention. Practicing Mindful Meditation positively affects every area of a person’s work and life. I am a certified IAMWay ™ coach and am certified by the Awareness Training Institute in partnership with the University of California at Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, having completed the 2-year course Mindfulness and Meditation program administered and taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. I’m a certified Nia Black Belt Instructor and a Reiki Jin Kei Do Master. I earned both my BA (Broadcast Journalism) and MBA (Consumer Marketing) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
