Summary
Harry Regan is a consultant, advisor and consulting engineer in cybersecurity, physical security, and operations with over 35 years of experience. His career has demonstrated an entrepreneurial attitude coupled with a drive to maintain currency with emerging technologies and emerging threats. He has held in executive, senior technical staff, and consulting positions with assignments encompassing program management, computer and network operations, and executive-level consulting and strategic technology positioning, and advisory services. Mr. Regan has been engaged in a variety of project and corporate positions expanding a deep experience base in information security in both cyber security and physical security. In the mid-1990s, He joined NASDAQ as Director of Information Security Technology which became the basis of his view and model for developing an operations-centric approach to integrating technological, business, and human factors into security and privacy. In early, 2000, he joined LogicTier managing physical and cyber security for both the corporation and its customers. He started his own consultancy, SunStorm, in 2002 shortly after LogicTier ceased operations. Starting in 2006, he worked with and for a number of consulting firms expanding his experience and capabilities in cyber and physical security. These included Verizon Consulting Services, Securicon, LLC, Torchlight, and others and provided him with exposure to and hands-on experience with a variety of emerging technologies. These have included Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Zero Trust architectures (Onclave), Trusted Identity solutions (OKTA, Microsoft) for both terrestrial and cloud-based implementations. Mr. Regan’s experience has been focused on developing, implementing, and managing information security and privacy programs, threat and vulnerability assessments, technology countermeasures development, System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, building and industrial infrastructure protection, NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC-CIP), and a number of regulatory compliance programs including FISMA, HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA among others. Harry is recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) in a variety of security areas including disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Mr. Regan has received recognition for his expertise and has been featured as a speaker in a number of national and international forums such as the RSA Security Conference, DEFCON, DerbyCon, Secure360 and a number of other others.
