Summary

Robert was CEO and Co-founder of VersionOne, a leader in Agile life-cycle management tools and consulting services. He has 25 years of commercial enterprise application software experience. Prior to his state of 'pseudo-retirement', in the last 15 years of his career, he served in an executive capacity as vice-president of development, CTO, and CEO of several early-stage enterprise ERP, HR/Payroll, CRM, and ALM (application lifecycle management) software firms. Robert's career in the software industry touched virtually all aspects of the enterprise software field - consultant, programmer, tester, technical writer, DBA, customer service, development director and senior executive with technology organizations such as Andersen Consulting, Ockham Technologies, Tango Networks, Clarus Corporation, and VersionOne. Through these experiences, he ultimately became familiar with Agile methodologies and processes early in their evolution, and it was his enthusiasm for Agile software development that led to the launch of Atlanta-based VersionOne in 2002. He led VersionOne for 15 years through all the good times and 'less good' before merging with CollabNet in 2018, which via subsequent consolidation has now become Digital.ai. After a short time with CollabNet VersionOne, he graciously chose to escape. Robert holds a Masters of Science in Management (MSM) from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Auburn University.
