Summary
Bloom has been called the Einstein, Newton, Darwin and Freud of the 21st century by Britain’s Channel 4 TV and “the next Stephen Hawking” by Gear Magazine. Says Joseph Chilton Pearce, author of Evolution's End, "I have finished Howard Bloom's books...and am seriously awed, near overwhelmed by the magnitude of what he has done. I never expected to see, in any form, from any sector, such an accomplishment. I doubt there is a stronger intellect than Bloom's on the planet." Bloom is the author of The Lucifer Principle: A Scientific Expedition Into the Forces of History ("mesmerizing"—The Washington Post), Global Brain: The Evolution of Mass Mind from the Big Bang to the 21st Century ("reassuring and sobering"—The New Yorker), The Genius of the Beast: A Radical Re-Vision of Capitalism ("Impressive, stimulating, and tremendously enjoyable." James Fallows, The Atlantic), The God Problem: How A Godless Cosmos Creates ("Bloody hell...What a truly extraordinary book. I'm gob-smacked." Francis Pryor, President of the Council for British Archaeology), How I Accidentally Started the Sixties ("Wow! Whew! Wild! Wonderful!” Timothy Leary), and The Mohammed Code ("The best book on Islam I've ever read." David Swindle, PJ Media). Bloom is currently co-designing a multi-planetary mission at Caltech and is the subject of a documentary being made by two-time Emmy winner Charlie Hoxie and BRIC-TV. One of Bloom’s books—Global Brain-- was the subject of a forum thrown by the Office of the Secretary of Defense with participants from the State Department, the Energy Department, DARPA, IBM, and MIT. The Sheikh who runs Dubai named a racehorse after one of Bloom’s books. The eleventh president of India calls his writing “visionary.” And he has worked with Michael Jackson, Prince, Bob Marley, Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, Billy Idol, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Queen, Kiss, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and Run-DMC.
