Summary
TL;DR; I help people get new things done. How It's Going: Speaking and writing about a well-being metric for teams called The Balance Score (thebalancescore.com) and re-launching TheSixWeek.com, a health and wellness challenge platform for groups. Helping the Alliance to Conserve Nashville's Highland Rim Forest, Cato Neighbors, and District One United (my local Council district) with organizing and digital strategy. How It Started: I started my Internet career in 1995, when I was the Online Director for the Internet's first live+online music festival, the New York Music Festival. I helped conceive and launch Apple Computer's first and only prototype live music streaming service in 1997. I've helped produce 5 GRAMMY backstage online experiences, including the first. I helped put the first Emmy Awards on the web. I've helped manage five professional services agencies, leading one of them (a fully remote Agile team) as CEO. Organized four 24-Hour Design-a-thon volunteer events in Nashville, covered on all local TV networks. I helped create a video-based, translated video-messaging system for an international children's relief agency and prototyped a digital activism platform. Most recently I became a community organizer and land-use policy geek in rural Nashville. I love working, playing and creating with transformational technologies and being part of groups of good people doing great things. Currently speaking about - "The Balance Score - The Missing Metric for Modern Teams" which I argue is the most important metric for any business or team: the balance and wellbeing of its people.
