Chair | Non-Exec | Adviser I love working with big ideas, ambitious missions and great people to help them achieve their potential, usually as chairman, non-exec director or adviser to CEOs, founders and boards. A digital pioneer, building digital businesses from 1995 - 2005, and advising them ever since. Focused now on my overlapping passions for business and sport, lucky enough to deploy my experience across exciting organisations where values, performance and governance are central to success. Bringing clear direction and a commercial advantage to sports bodies has proved to be a great balance for me to the work I do supporting companies at various stages to accelerate growth and to realise value. Adviser to various board level leaders wanting to bring their best performance to leadership, growth and transformation challenges. I've been creating and scaling businesses for 25 years, some of this inside large organisations, some of it as a business owner, and along the way supporting the founders/CEOs of five businesses to successful exits. Supported growth and exit of CVL Consulting (sold to Engine Group and onto Next 15), Fount Solutions (sold to Transvisual Media), InsightExec (sold to SiftMedia, rebranded MyCustomer.com) and WG Group (now part of the WPP empire). Always deeply involved in sport; from football as a lifelong fan of the mighty Leeds United, follower of Yorkshire cricket, to a 20 year rugby career with Selby, Ealing, Oxford and Henley). This followed by 20+ years of triathlon as an ironman, international age group athlete. Along the way taking the chance to become a board level leader with British Triathlon, and now with olympic sport as a TeamGB board member. As you might imagine I enjoy bringing together my experience of business leadership with my passion for sport, combining lessons from both fields of play.
