Summary
James (Jamie) Millar is founder and managing partner of SkyBridge Associates (SBA), a firm that convenes invitation-only peer networks for leaders whose time is precious. Executives prioritize our networks because we offer a scarce resource: practical insights and timely, relevant conversations with a community of trusted peers. We also help many to feel less alone. Before founding SBA, Jamie was a partner at Tapestry Networks, where he led networks of Fortune 500 board audit committee chairs and private equity firm leaders. Jamie previously founded Bonfire Consulting, a firm specializing in the application of social network principles to strategic business opportunities. Earlier in his career, Jamie was chairman of the MBA Admissions Board and director of Financial Aid for at Harvard Business School. Jamie led the effort to transform the school's financial aid structure, including its well-publicized partnership with Citibank for student loans. Other past affiliations include IntellectExchange for which Jamie was vice president of Client Services, Fidelity Investments' online brokerage business, and Morgan Stanley & Co.'s New York and Toronto offices. Jamie graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and he received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
