Summary
I am a Managing Director at Shasta Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm with more than $1 billion under management. I’m an active investor in enterprise cloud computing and mobility, commerce, open source software, SaaS and social networks. I’ve led our firm’s investments in Adometry (acquired by Google), Demdex (acquired by Adobe), Makara (acquired by RedHat), Steelbrick (acquired by Salesforce), and StrongLoop (acquired by IBM), among others. I currently serve on the Boards of CloudPassage, Glint, Leanplum, Nextdoor, Smule and Zuora. Prior to Shasta, I was vice president of Strategy and Operations at Walmart.com for five years growing the business from zero to large- scale revenue and helping Walmart.com become one of largest retailers online. This experience taught me how to thoughtfully scale fast-growing businesses and use software to improve operations. I started my career as an investment banker at Alex.Brown. I earned my M.B.A. degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business and my B.S. degree in Finance from University of Maryland. I’m an avid scuba diver and a passionate supporter of shark conservation.
