I am passionate about finding creative solutions to hard technical management problems that hinder people’s engagement and productivity, and severely limit organizational effectiveness. My professional focus is on helping individuals and teams in organizations make better decisions faster, by improving the quality and flow of information. In terms of subject matter expertise, I am well versed in major Lean/Agile process frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, LeSS, SAFe), technical practices (XP, BDD, DDD, DevOps, DORA), product management methodologies (Marty Cagan, Jeff Patton, Itamar Gilad), OD (Dialogic, Team Topologies), and change management (below). I draw heavily upon the work of academics such as Deming, Argyris, Kegan, Heifetz, Mintzberg, and Hamel, and leading consultants (Marquet, Bungay, Snowden). Going directly to the source of ideas helps me understand frameworks and related concepts in depth and allows me to come up with my own improvements and modifications.
