Summary
Visualization and Data Scientist, Software Architect, Analytics Interpreter and Visual Information Designer Making sense of data and analytics for the rest of us.... I look for new ways to understand data and use it to drive decision making. With the explosion of data, the ability to combine multiple sources and types of this data, and the application of sophisticated models of analysis, we require new technologies and approaches to ensure that decision makers are able to understand exactly what they are "seeing" and take action. My focus is on analysis through visual representations, integration of data from multiple sources and ways to allow the consumers of the analysis to drive the process. My current work focuses on bringing together dynamic and modular views of information derived from understanding the context around the data request as well as the possible actions to be taken with the information returned. Recent work has focused on ways to better understand and compare information from advanced modeling techniques in a variety of domains through visual overviews. Through the use of temporal, spatial, and network visualizations, large amounts of information may be delivered to a wider audience and bring more eyes to focus on the objective details they need to make meaningful and informed decisions. My passion continues to be the application of design, usability, data and visualization to foster collaboration and problem solving in real world decision making.
