Summary
I have been a knowledge / IT worker for more than 25 years and have experience with many aspects of IT. But while IT is great stuff, there's the rest of the world as well. My interests extend to other aspects of cybernetics ("Systems Thinking") such as organizational management, logistics, communications and so on. I have an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. My other interests include martial arts, guitar, amateur radio, photography and volunteering for disaster relief and EMS. I was previously licensed as an EMT-I85, CPR instructor and EMS instructor. I enjoyed volunteering or working part time in EMS and have had opportunities to bring the rest of my skillset into EMS through grant writing, geographic information systems, information technology support and EMS management. But my role as a father is more important, so I have stopped volunteering for now. Hope to get back into it when the triplets are in preschool or kindergarten. Specialties: Database programming, application development (c#, python, PHP), GIS, emergency medical systems, business process reengineering, systems administration (Windows and Unix), organizational management, communication, decision support systems. And, I'm not sure if this is something to be proud of or not, I'm member number 9,181 on linkedin.
