Summary
I’m an experienced entrepreneur, investor and operator who thrives on being ‘in the Arena’ (h/t Teddy Roosevelt) and leading teams. I am intrinsically motivated by ‘winning with friends’ and I love the bonds that form when a group of people struggles together to do the seemingly impossible. I co-founded one of the first Internet search engines, Excite.com in 1993, taking it public in 1996 and selling it in 2000 ($6.7Bn transaction). In 2004, I co-founded a second company, JotSpot, focused on collaboration, and sold it to Google in 2006. I helped to scale up Google Ventures (GV) in 2009 where I was a General Partner for 10 years investing in mostly Transportation (companies like Turo, KeepTruckin' Flock Freight and Lime) and Marketplaces (StockX, Peerspace). Currently, I’ve returned to operating as President of Lime where I oversee Product, including all hardware design, engineering, supply chain and logistics and all software product management, research, design and engineering. Lime is working to return cities everywhere to being about their people, not their cars, and in doing so, we’re striving to help on the most important problem of our time, climate.
