Summary
Communications leader with three decades of public policy and communications experience on Capitol Hill and in the non-profit sector. I have successfully developed and executed crisis communications campaigns, advocacy initiatives, brand promotion, event marketing, and other message development and content delivery via earned, paid, and social media. In my current role, I oversee all our external (public, media, and member-facing) and internal (staff) communications, including media relations, executive communications, publications, and video production. Our media relations team ensures MBA is positioned as the go-to resource for data and analysis of the residential, commercial, and multifamily real estate markets, as well as the policy and regulatory issues impacting our members and their custromers. We take pride in being strong, credible advocates for our members, ensuring that the media is presented with accurate data and analysis with which to inform their audiences. Our content-creation teams successfully engage our members, stakeholders, and other critical audiences by developing fresh, easily digestible written, audio, and video content. Our daily email news publication is ad-supported and is delivered to more than 50,000 industry professionals each morning and offers both original and curated news that our members rely on to manage and grow their businesses. Our video content is shot, edited, and produced three times a week, completely in-house, and offers us an additional way to deliver important news and information to our members. Internal and executive communications focus on engaging our staff and members via the written and spoken word. A key to staff engagement, especially as our teams become more spread out, is regular communication with association leadership, whether in person, via Zoom, or via email. MBA's staff and volunteer leadership are highly sought after for their industry expertise, policy and legislative perspective, and industry and market data, and we fulfill several hundred speaking engagements each year.
