Author, editor, producer, project manager, creative consultant/strategist, photographer, videographer, video editor, graphic designer, and general writer. Books include BOB'S BASEMENT, GI JOE: THE COMPLETE STORY OF AMERICA'S FAVORITE MAN OF ACTION, the upcoming EIGHTH WONDER, as well as various books for children & young adults. My job is to tell stories in a hundred different ways. I've worked with a wide range of regional & national clients in various fields, including Hasbro, Mattel, Western Publishing/Golden Books, Warner Brothers, Nintendo, Oldsmobile, Budweiser, PointOne Clinical-Genetic Information Systems, NASCAR, Jolly Time, Fruit of the Loom, Target Stores, NAPA, Revell-Monogram, WESTconsin Credit Union, the National Eagle Center, the La Crosse Historical Society, and the Merian C. Cooper Estate. After over 35 years in the business, I've done it all: Ghostwriting, manuscript "doctoring," magazine articles, story treatments, training video scripts, books for children and young adults, Powerpoint presentations, web copy, business proposals, trivia questions, product style guides, character bibles, instruction sheets, catalog copy, press releases, and product reviews. I have a reputation as a fantastic conceptual thinker, motivational creative leader, and an invaluable presence in the early or late stages of idea generation. I'm also able to write in a wide variety of voices as required by each project. My work is invariably done well, and done on time. I’m also a product developer who conceived and co-created the enormously successful (and much-emulated) MASTERPIECE EDITION product (Chronicle Books). I also conceptualized and packaged the book KONG: KING OF SKULL ISLAND, a prequel-sequel to the classic film conceived by artist Joe DeVito (Dark Horse). Specialties: - I began my career as a Mac-based graphic designer and therefore art direct many of my projects. I work with the entire Adobe suite of programs, but primarily InDesign, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, and Acrobat. I also design and build web sites & edit video. Also: The now-void-of-meaning word “literally” has become my nemesis.
