Summary
I'm a big picture thinker. Wherever I am, I always try to see the larger context, connect the dots, and stretch people and organizations to be bigger, bolder, and more purposeful. I'm a leader, designer, teacher, writer, and pilot who believes we all have the power to shape our world. I have an insatiable curiosity and a wide-ranging set of interests. I formerly led the strategic foresight team at Autodesk, the company that helps people imagine, design, and create a better world. Autodesk makes software used to design and make things. Their customers shape our built environment, the products we use every day, and the film and games that entertain us. I defined and led the Corporate Strategy process at Autodesk and taught strategic thinking in both internal executive education programs and at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. I am retired from full-time employment but open to part-time consulting, teaching, writing, or speaking engagements.
