Summary
I've been a process improvement consultant for the past 20 years, first at CSC/Index from 1990 to 1993, specializing in the financial services industry. In 1993, I founded the J. Tepper Group, continuing in business process consulting. Functionally, I've focused on organizing and facilitating groups/workshops as part of my consulting engagements. I have guided multiple teams working simultaneously, as in my BPR work with the US Air Force, where our client teams created a streamlined process for the competitive award and execution of contracts, for C4I procurement. I have also led a number of IT consulting projects, on IT processes and IT-Sr. Management alignment. I've led a series of innovation process engagements, improving a Stage-Gate process for large R&D organizations. I created a new model for structured discussion and evaluation of ongoing R&D projects for R&D Portfolio Management, and rolled it out to dozens of R&D project teams. This method focuses a project team's attention back to the customer's needs as well as future product revenues/profits, to more effectively drive product specification and requirements definition. I'm looking to leverage my experience in business process consulting for financial services firms and R&D organizations . I am also interested in continuing to collaborate with other consulting firms, to help them deliver value to their clients.
