Summary
Jorge Mata is a serial entrepreneur since 1999 when he founded MyAlert, a company focused on designing and implementing wireless alert services for the mass market. In 2001 MyAlert merged with Buongiorno, an Italian company that went public in 2003. Jorge was later the founder and Chairman of Berggi Inc, and Clippingbook Inc focused on developing mobile and content 2.0 for the mass market. He sold another two small companies he created to American bigger companies. Jorge's last company is Synthetic Neural Labs Inc, the new wave of artificial intelligence focused on the crypto and NFT ecosystem. The company is based in New York. Jorge has been a Board member in public and private companies in Silicon Valley, Finland, and Spain and is an active investor in more than 10 start-ups. Jorge has raised over $70 million in his career, has created over 1500 jobs, and has sold or taken companies public for a value above $500 million. Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, Jorge worked at AT&T& Bell Laboratories, McKinsey & Co., Banco Santander, and Broadvision. Jorge has been appointed twice technology pioneer by the Davos World Economic Forum in 2001 and 2002. Jorge Mata holds an MS in Physics from Universidad Autonoma (Madrid), and an MBA from New York University.
