Summary

In my various roles, I have used a mix of full stack (LAMP) technical expertise and knowledge of software development methodologies to deliver web applications with attention to details and overall quality, while still delivering features quickly and respecting my commitments. I focus on building for change, finding the right balance between speed and quality, defining the right set of tools to help with my or my team’s tasks, identifying the right processes for the team, company and product. I enjoy being hands-on and learn new technologies, and have always spent a large percentage of my time writing code, even when managing teams. As a manager, I believe in leading by example, in putting the team before the individuals, in the synergy that comes from working together, in dialog to find the solutions, in being available to help every team member succeed. I have experience with project management tools used in software development including UML, various software revision control and bug tracking systems. As a consultant I’ve been exposed to a great diversity of technologies and environments, and learned to quickly get up to speed and adapt to new teams, tools and methodologies. • Experienced architect/developer of web-based applications (Java for 8 years, PHP the last 7 years, JavaScript more recently). • Knowledge of both front end and back end technologies. I like semantic HTML, unobtrusive and object-oriented JavaScript and thinking in terms of reusable components/objects. • Able to translate requirements into project objectives, requirements, tasks and schedules, track status, and coordinate teams that are highly committed to customer satisfaction.
