Academic and Distributed Computing Services Helpline Attendant Troubleshooting computer problems at the University of Minnesota for students staff and alumni. Assisted in computer classes. Cultural Homestay International ESL Teacher in Guangzhou, China Prepared and taught English lessons to students from age 7-18. I also was able to learn about Chinese Culture and history. Sheridan Global Arts and Communications School Organized Costume Inventory and assisted in classroom activities in the Dance and Art classrooms. University Senate and Minnesota Student Association Served on the Executive Committee and various other committees, debating issues of importance to the University and its students. Organized the Big Ten Student Associations conference for 75 student delegates for a productive weekend of networking, sharing ideas and enjoying the University. Olive Branch Lutheran Church Promoted and conducted various events. Taught peer ministry training. Member of the Sunday morning worship team. DUGSI Program Tutored Somali High school students at Roosevelt High school. Fairview University Hospital and The Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center Companion volunteer at Fairview for children. Physical Therapy volunteer at the MS center where I was able to help with stretching and eating. Womens Cross Country Team Disciplined team member of the Nationally ranked Division I cross country team. Specialties: I have strong delegation, analysis and mediation skills. As a volunteer ESL teacher in China, I experienced the difficulties of being an alien in a foreign land and I have learned to make the most of cultural differences between people. I also developed lesson plans. As a university senator, I developed positions on various university policy issues, and assisted in creating resolutions for the University in a committee setting. I have facilitated group discussion and work sessions.
