Summary

I've bootstrapped my skills from job to job, teaching myself what I needed to know from other kind souls' experiences, much of it from the Internet. Between 2010 and 2011, I pulled a year-long stint in Seoul with Korea Telecom. Along with my colleagues at Cloudscaling, we architected and implemented a scalable IaaS cloud computing system that will enable KT to stand as the leader in cloud computing in Korea (and, to be honest, Asia) for quite some time. They're already implementing several value-added services based on the system we started. At Enstratius and subsequently Dell, I handled support, sales, and installation engineering for our on-premises customers. I've been fortunate enough to get some reliable seat-time behind just about every major private IaaS cloud system there is, which has been really helpful in assisting our customers with onboarding our software, as well as just helping their cloud projects in general be successful. I'm currently looking for new opportunities in the technology space - I'm prodigiously interested in how tech becomes deeper and deeper ingrained in everything we do, from the Internet of Things to automating everything on the planet. Specialties: Internet server architecture, cloud computing, web technology and trends, small-business IT smarts and engineer-level knowledge. (Marketspeak for a unix/linux sysadmin who likes to follow technology trends before anyone else.)
