NOTE: Do not use LinkedIn to send me funding proposals. Please direct all funding requests to our Submit Web page. Initial response is usually within a few waking hours. Never more than 2 business days. http://rightsidecapital.com/submit/ I've always loved solving interesting problems with cool technologies. This desire naturally led to lots of involvement in technology startups. The next logical step was tackling the problem of getting more innovative companies up and running. I hypothesized that an "engineering approach" to investing, one that combined basic portfolio math and software infrastructure, would enable a firm to fund 100s of startup per year. This approach would both increase the ease of delivering investment dollars to high-quality founders and reduce the volatility of investor returns. By having the largest portfolio, it would have the most efficient process and the lowest risk. I founded Right side Capital Management (RSCM) with Stanford friend David Lambert to pursue the idea. After building a quantitative model of the startup funding lifecycle and validating the approach against the available data, we started investing in 2012. In our first first year, we made 79 investments and had the privilege of working with some of the finest founding teams in the US. Specialties: Business, mathematical, and software modeling.
