Summary
I'm a writer and producer, currently focused on TV one-hour drama and feature films. Previously I was a senior-level content creator who designed and produced games and social environments. Prior to writing fulltime, I was Lead Creative at Yahoo! Games, developing new games and features. I came to Yahoo! from Forterra Systems Inc., where I was Senior Designer and Producer. At Forterra and its parent company There, Inc., I developed communication and identity systems, games, tools for player-created content, and other interactive elements for persistent 3D worlds. My work for Forterra was in the "serious games" realm, and included training simulations for the U.S. Army and a medical first response trainer. Before There, I led story and game design on Majestic for Electronic Arts and produced online community for ZDTV (now G4). I've created narratives, virtual worlds, and games for Microsoft, Purple Moon, Global Wonder, and Rules of Play, published by MIT Press. I spoke on designing social interaction in games at the 2004 Game Developers Conference, and play a lot of games when I'm not working on them. Specialties: Story development, creative writing, and production for interactive and conventional media; game design, online community, and virtual world design; experience with the production, launch, and post-release support of online games and services; working collaboratively; leading projects and teams.
