Summary
Started out in Marketing and Sales Management for the music industry working for Spor in Iceland, taking care of Sony Music and Warner Music along with other smaller music labels. Then moved into Production and Post-Production as CEO and co-owner of Wiz-Art ltd. later rebranded as STORM (www.storm.is), a leader in digital content creation. Founded PoppTV (www.popptv.is) the first and only 24 hour music television station in Iceland. PoppTV was sold to Iceland's largest media company and I remained on the board of the company for the following 2 years. Started VYRE (www.vyre.com) a Content Management and Web Publishing vendor. VYRE was founded in 1997 and sold to Offstump ltd in 2003. I worked for VYRE as UK Sales Manager and later as CEO from 2001. I worked for Offstump in the UK as the Business Development Manager for the VYRE product until June 2005. Back in Iceland I took a position as the CEO of Storm, I held that position until merging with Sagafilm in January 2006. During the year 2006 I worked for Sagafilm as Investment Manager taking care of international investments for the company. After successfully acquiring a major shareholding in 2AM Films in the UK late 2006, I held a position with 2AM Films as joint Managing Director from January 2007 till June 2007 when I was hired as CEO/President of Sagafilm in Iceland. In January 2014 I became the Chairman of Sagafilm in Iceland and CEO of Sagafilm Nordic in Stockholm expanding Sagafilm into the Nordic region.
