Summary
At the Allen Institute, I am focused on leading the development and application of Generative AI to advance our understanding of the complexities of life and disease at a granular level. This includes harnessing the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) to unlock novel insights in areas such as single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis, multimodal data integration (including spatial genomics and light-sheet microscopy) and predictive modeling of cellular behaviors. Solving aging, neurodegeneration, cancer (and world peace!) within our lifetimes requires multidisciplinary collaboration across the entire scientific community spanning the full extent of research and industry. Innovation in Generative AI technologies that can actively integrate and reason over vast heterogenous biological datasets will help us arrive at solutions faster. Do get in touch if you have an interest in such efforts!
