Lance Thompson

Summary

Lance has over 30 years of experience as a Management Consultant and Corporate Controller in the private and public sectors. This was primarily with Deloitte & Touche, his own consulting firm, and a medical device manufacturer. He provides consulting services in the areas of business planning, all functional business areas, organizational effectiveness, and implementation assistance. His most recent experience is with all aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation, focusing on business feasibility, business planning, product/service innovation, technology commercialization, marketing programs, financial projections and implementation roadmaps for the major business initiatives. He has expertise with startup and early growth companies in all areas of the business model, using both lean startup and modern management best business practices – and across most industries. Lance has significant involvement with Arizona State University (ASU) startup and growth companies working with faculty and student teams. This includes ASU SkySong companies (Edson, Arizona Furnace, accelerators); ASU professors in the science and engineering colleges; and student entrepreneurial teams in engineering and business. He also has recent experience with biomedical, electronics, computer science and chemistry startups, and with the National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps (I-Corps) technology commercialization. Lance has been in the Phoenix area for over 30 years. He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a BS in Engineering Systems and an MBA in Management.
