Summary
I have evolved into a podcaster and blogger through my previous work as a writer, keynote speaker, and Internet/e-Commerce consultant. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston. I’ve had an eclectic career including sailing instructor, Naval officer, hot air balloon pilot, electrical engineer, lawyer, and motivational speaker. My most recent book, “The Spirit of the Internet: Speculations on the Evolution of Global Consciousness,” won First Prize for non-fiction, eBook Awards, at the Virginia Festival of the Book. I am also the editor/publisher of the Matrix Masters web site (www.matrixmasters.com), whose aim is to provoke an unmuffled, ungagged, and unsilenced generation of world citizens into speaking up and taking the actions necessary to wrest control from the privileged few and to reclaim this planet in the name of all the humans, animals, plants, and other forms of life who share its bounty. Among other projects, I am working with some like-minded individuals to establish a “shared stakeholder” marketplace and intellectual property conservancy called the DigitalSpace Commons (www.digitalspace.com), which is being designed to protect the ability of entrepreneurs to innovate and to capitalize on innovations in an era of growing monopoly. At this time I am primarily engaged as a podcaster. In June of 2005 I began podcasting on an iTunes channel called Psychedelic Salon. Since then my weekly podcasts have gained a world wide audience of more than 100,000 listeners in over 100 countries. Specialties: Writer and entrepreneur ... served as "Internet evangelist" for a major Telco during the 1990s boom, founded one of the early PC startups in the 1980s ... licensed to practice law in Texas. Creator of over 140 podcasts that have attracted a very sizeable audience.
