Summary
As the father of two young adults, I've become increasingly alarmed about the climate crisis. I've put most of my media work on hold to work with and support a range of organizations working to build a movement strong enough to advocate for bold solutions. In my media work, I focused on using the power of film, television, and the Internet to illuminate and explore the issues of our times. I've worn many hats over the years: as an activist and leader in the independent film community since the early 1970's, consultant to international film festivals, founder of several non-profit organizations designed to increase visibility and distribution for independent work, creator of P.O.V., the leading independent documentary series on television, as well as Web Lab, a non-profit think-and-do tank designed to develop new models for using digital media to expand public engagement on both public and personal issues.
