Summary
My experience is all over the place. Inside and outside, small startups and big corporations, east coast, west coast, and in between. The most satisfying work I've done has involved finding interesting problems and solving them, and working with a small, tight group of cool and talented people. I've been freelance contracting on and off since 2001 or so, and I've been teaching and training developers for the last several years, and I enjoy it quite a bit. I aim to do this as long as I can manage, and involve my aforementioned friends and colleagues in any project that suits 'em. Specialties: I'm primarily a programmer, specializing in full-stack web development (HTML/CSS/javascript/node/express/postgres/angular/react/etc), plus a bunch of experience with ActionScript, Ruby, Python, Perl, or whatever else seems useful at the time. I also have a solid background in computer science, game design, network and system administration, but I have also been known to write, and I can manage a project, if it comes down to that. I also perform, direct, and train people in improvised theater all over the place, here in Austin and abroad. Mostly, I just make stuff go.
