Summary
Mark helps early-stage companies achieve success through removing the uncertainty and inherent issues around customer discovery and product market fit. Mark Has helped over 500 emerging organizations to get through their initial product launch through early growth. Mark uses a multidisciplinary approach to entrepreneurship, strategy, and other key change issues. Methods incorporate proven techniques that facilitate constructive change. · Generate excitement and enthusiasm by assisting in defining the "infinite possibilities" created by your dreams, vision and commitment; · Provide participants with a feeling of ownership in the institution’s change and encourage them to seek a role in the new plan; · Design an action plan for implementation; and · Define the metrics and feedback loop to make certain that appropriate results are monitored and successfully implemented. Formerly, Chief Startup Officer for Oregon State University (OSU) and Director of the OSU Advantage Accelerator. Prior to OSU, Mark was Executive Director of the Business Technology Center of Los Angeles County (BTC). Dr. Lieberman was also a founder and co-chair of Los Angeles County Technology Week, a series of events that promote technology in Los Angeles County. He was named as one of the 50 Most Innovative Men for 2012 by THE Magazine. He has published “Commercializing Medical Technology” and has a chapter in the book, “The Development of University Based Entrepreneurship Ecosystems.” Dr. Lieberman consulted to governments on entrepreneurship, incubation, entrepreneurship, angel and venture capital. Mark was a former assistant professor of clinical entrepreneurship at University of Southern California, and an adjunct Cal State Los Angeles, Antioch University and Vatel, Los Angeles. He holds a Doctor of Organization Change from Pepperdine University and an MBA from the Presidential/Key Executive Program at Pepperdine University. He was a member of the Willamette Angels, Pasadena Angels and the Tech Coast Angels. He was formerly a group leader in the large networking group, ProVisors. Dr. Lieberman served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Center for Technology Commercialization at the USC, the Advisory Board for the School of Business of Woodbury University, and on the President Obama’s Rank Review Committee for 2010.
