Summary
28 years of executive leadership, product and engineering strategy, engineering management, and hands-on software development including machine learning, big data, online advertising, robotics, user centered design, and data visualization. For my entire career, I’ve been passionate about getting the right group of people pulling together toward one common goal that can have a major impact. In technology, when you manage to create a breakthrough, it has outsized results. But getting there means listening to everybody’s voices and keeping everybody on the team open to unexpected ideas. What’s great about being at a small division (COMET) of a large private company (Cox) is that everything we do has tremendous leverage on our revenue and growth, yet we’re still small enough to be nimble and have fun. Teams make all the difference, and that’s why I’m a team player even in my personal life. I sing barbershop harmony with both chorus and quartet, and I enjoy playing Dota 2 -- a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena video game. I also love to sail on the SF Bay from Spinnaker Sailing, and to play piano and other instruments for fun.
