I love paying it forward, whether as the entrepreneur in residence at Acadia University, where I support and mentor aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators or by being on the advisory board of Sports Crowd, a start-up company that is revolutionizing the sports industry in LATAM with innovative technology and a unique business model. With over 25 years of experience in start-ups, M&A, eCommerce, venture capital, B2B, MarTech, and emerging technologies, I have a proven track record of building and scaling businesses across diverse markets and domains. My most recent professional role was as VP of eCommerce for North America at AB InBev, where I led the company's response to the massive shift to in-home consumption due to Covid-19. Leveraging the investments, people, and capabilities in eCommerce that we had built, we accelerated the growth curve and became a key driver of future growth in the company. This role was part of ABI's ZX Ventures organization, which gave me the opportunity to work in a high-growth start-up culture within a global corporation where I launched and built an eCommerce business in China, which was a rewarding and challenging experience that brought me full circle from my first career job in Beijing in 1989. I am passionate about innovation, velocity, and agility, and I have a start-up DNA that enables me to identify and seize opportunities in dynamic and competitive environments. I have been involved in several technology inflection points, such as the early Internet, SaaS, cloud, mobile broadband, and enterprise social media, and I have developed a deep expertise in eCommerce and MarTech. I enjoy working with and learning from talented and diverse teams, and I strive to make a positive impact through my work.
