Summary

I love writing about products for the tech industry. With a deep background in both design and coding, I take dense technical subject matter and make it something regular folks can get excited about along with me. I've been in the industry for 25 years, starting as a web designer at UCLA before teaching myself to code and building one of the first community weblogs, with tens of thousands of paid members and pages viewed by hundreds of millions. I bounced around at a few startups doing UI and UX work before helping launch Creative Commons as the Creative Director. After managing my own site and 8-person company for a decade, I joined Slack in the early days and stayed there almost seven years through tremendous growth and an IPO. I've also spent over ten years co-hosting, recording, and producing regular podcasts, and love the format for storytelling.
