Summary

Growing up in Nebraska, I was the kid who didn’t fit in, which at the time felt to me like a curse, although now I kind of think it was a gift. I was misunderstood - a lot - and being misunderstood was pretty much the worst feeling in the world to me. I think that's why I dedicated so much of my life to learning to communicate well. And because I never wanted anyone else to feel misunderstood, I took great care in learning to understand people, too. Assume the good in others; keep it human; keep it simple. These are my cornerstones of effective communication. And tell stories - because stories are what connect us with one another. Where would we be without them? I’m a storyteller, communicator, content strategist, and a bit of a picky grammarian. I’m interested in helping create design-driven companies with strong cultures of customer experience. And, full disclosure, I'm a cat person. Specialties: Thinking about everything from every angle. Designing content with vision and purpose. Anticipating questions. Making things easy to understand.
