Summary
Matthew Josefowicz is an advisor, mentor, and retired entrepreneur. He was founder and CEO of Novarica, a research and advisory firm that helped more than 150 insurer annual subscription clients make better decisions about technology projects and strategy. Novarica was launched in 2008 as practice of Novantas, became independent in 2015, and was acquired by Pamlico Capital and merged with Aite Group in 2021. Prior to Novarica, he launched the global insurance group at analyst firm Celent and led it for more than six years. Before that, he was CEO of an angel-backed EdTech startup during the first dotcom boom, and held several roles in operations and business development at hedge fund and internet incubator D. E. Shaw & Co., LP. He holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Classics (Latin) from Brown University and a third degree black belt in Seido Karate.
