He created "399 unique, hand-blown glass objects that have become uncanny replicas of other substances: bone, clay, stone, wood, and horn." It speaks to me for several reasons. One is, that when people create something on purpose (art), they also create something by accident (shadows). The observer sees both. How is that for a marketing challenge? Further, I do glass fusion and I am fascinated by how one can modify glass under the right set of circumstances. Finally, things are not always what they seem. Even though these are glass pieces, they look like something else entirely.
