I have a passion for creating business opportunities and solving business problems with technology. I have been fascinated with the Internet and the World Wide Web since I was first exposed to it back in 1994, and I still feel like we have only just started to understand and tap its power. I have over twenty-five years of progressive management and technical experience in IT: • Twenty-five years of technology management in varying and progressive roles; from overall management of all aspects of technology for a global 150 person organization; to program management of several large projects and teams; to team lead and project manager on smaller projects. • Twenty years of Internet and telecommunications experience; from security and application development consulting, to directing software implementation projects at the world’s largest ISP, to developing and managing custom web based e-commerce infrastructure and application software for highly trafficked B2C and B2B sites, and integration of CRM, ERP, and fulfillment systems. • Twenty years assessing, designing, implementing, and managing IT operations and IT control procedures that include best practices for operations, performance, security, change control, and cost containment. • Fifteen years of direct experience assessing, designing, and managing the development and integration of software applications. • Broad, relevant, “hands-on” technology experience; from business and functional application analysis and design, to development in C#/.Net, Perl, Java/J2EE, C/C++, COBOL, SQL/RDBMS, Cold Fusion, Ruby/ROR, and other web application languages and architectures.
