Michael Chertok works in the fields of philanthropy, international and community development, and technology. He currently serves as Chief Advancement Officer at JFCS East Bay, leading development, marketing and advocacy for this community-based, direct social and human services organization that serves and supports Alameda and Contra Costa county residents of all ages, races, and religions. Previously, Michael was Senior Director, Philanthropy at the Jewish Community Federation in the Bay Area. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Donor Engagement at Silicon Valley Community Foundation and he served in a variety of roles on the management team of Digital Divide Data, a workforce development social enterprise. Before that, he served as a Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
