Michael A. M. Davies is a globally recognized thought leader in technology, innovation, and leadership. A Senior Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he teaches for the Integrated Design and Management program and directs the Business AI program, including courses: Breakthrough Innovation: Harnessing AI + to Create Value, Ethics of AI: Building Responsible AI, Machine Learning, and GPTs and the Professional Certificate Program in Innovation & Technology. He also leads the Technology Leadership Program at the London Business School contributing to a diverse range of custom executive education programs, including: The Business of Artificial Intelligence, The Business of Generative AI, and the New Technologies Ventures Program. He is the Founder and CEO of Endeavour Partners, a boutique consulting firm enabling leading companies worldwide to create value from digital transformation and breakthrough innovation. It counts amongst its clients many of the world's largest and most innovative technology firms (in mobile, broadband, and semiconductors), along with leaders in other sectors such as Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), banking, insurance, automotive, manufacturing and primary industries. Davies is also CEO of WKD.SMRT, a platform co-founded with colleagues from MIT and from Dartmouth, that is accelerating innovation in new therapies through more accurate, complete real-world data. Prior to founding Endeavour Partners, Michael held executive and strategic advisory roles with leading firms including Boston Consulting Group, BellSouth International, Braxton Associates, GeoPartners Research, and Mars Electronics. He earned an MBA from London Business School and Master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Cambridge and the University of Durham. He began his career as an engineer, designing chips, working in robotics, and high-tech manufacturing including early work on artificial intelligence in expert systems and machine vision. In his free time you can find him sailing internationally or watching his favorite rugby team, The All Blacks, along with Formula 1 and SailGP races. He also enjoys being an early adopter of new technologies and culinary techniques, and reading about cutting edge innovation while savoring a cappuccino or glass of chardonnay.
