Mikel Samson

Summary

My name is Mikel Samson. I am currently Senior Designer at Amazon MGM Studios Creative Services, where I develop design solutions to support Amazon MGM Studios's various theatrical features and television programming. My various duties include designing key art for theatrical, home video and digital platforms, sales materials such as sell sheets, brochures, look books, designing pitch decks for various markets, event graphics and signage, web and social campaign graphics, consumer products style guide art and internal collateral material along with prepping mechanicals for various print vendors and media departments. I work across the many departments of Amazon MGM Studios to fulfill the company’s design needs, and am very hands on when it comes to design projects, seeing them through from initial brainstorming to finished product. I have over 20 years experience as a designer and illustrator. I am well versed in the process of bringing conceptual ideas to their final form, be they for print of digital media. Besides my proficiency in design, I have extensive experience in pre-press, prepping mechanicals, 4-color/spot color printing, color correction and photo retouching/manipulation to ensure projects exceed client expectations. In addition to my design skills, I am an accomplished illustrator and painter using traditional techniques such as pen & ink and acrylics, along with current digital programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I am a fast and efficient worker who can juggle multiple projects at any given time. I am a team player, but independently motivated to get the job done. I feel these skills would be a great asset to any creative team.
