Summary

I am overseas business development, investment and marketing professional. In April 2013, established a boutique style global IT business consulting company, Trailnavi, Inc., based in Tokyo, Japan. Trailnavi provides full set of navigation consulting for global IT companies to climb up to higher peaks. I then joined Mitsubishi Estate Corporation (MEC)'s Area Brand Management Dept. and Innovative Communities Dept. to support overseas & domestic fast growing companies to develop new businesses based at Marunouchi, core business area of Tokyo. With Egg and Global Business Hub Tokyo platform and other 3 innovation offices in this area, MEC also supports international large corporations to find suitable cutting-edge startup partners to realize digitalization of their traditional business. MEC also supports TMIP (Tokyo Marunouchi Innovation Platform) open innovation community, for this purpose. I've worked at Digital Garage, Google, Tokyo Marine Capital, Neoteny and Mitsubishi Corporation. As Chief Investment Officer at DG Incubation (currently DG Ventures), I invested in Twitter, LinkedIn, Intercom, Udemy, Path, Kiip, Technorati...and supported their early stage business development in the Japanese market. I also managed LP investments in Super Angel funds in Silicon Valley, such as SV Angel and 500 Startups, to expand venture investment network in the SF Bay Area. My career started with Mitsubishi Corporation, global trading firm. I was in charge for building new business in Japan for Regis McKenna, Palo Alto-based technology marketing firm, who had clients like Intel and Apple. At my later CVC and VC company career brought me to early stage investments in Silicon Valley, which lead to fast growing company successes like Twitter, LinkedIn, Intercom, Udemy and so on.
