Summary

My professional experience has led me on the search for challenging problems and inadequate customer experiences across a broad spectrum of industries. My specialty is in designing and developing creative ways to leverage technology to solve these problems. I’m particularly interested in the improvements we’ve made in collecting personal data (health, fitness, performance) and how technology unlocks the potential of what we now should be doing to make that data actionable to improve our lives. I have extensive experience in technology development and building consumer-facing products. Currently, I am CTO at BreakAway Data, Inc. — at the forefront of putting athletes in control of their health, performance and fitness data and empowering them to leverage it to understand and improve their performance. Previously, I was a Vice President at Mozilla where I led the Pocket team. Pocket was acquired by Mozilla in 2017 and I was part of the founding team. I am also a partner in quantitative sports site TeamRankings.com, where I serve as Technical Adviser. I believe deeply in education and building community. From 2011-2018 I was co-chair of the Presidio Knolls School in San Francisco helping grow it from a preschool to a pre-K through 8th grade progressive mandarin immersion school. I also was a co-chair of the Duke Global Entrepreneurship Network establishing a number of programs to support alumni and students in the Bay Area.
