Summary
I support the aspirations of the next generation of social entrepreneurs, especially those who are working to build wealth in their communities. Throughout my career I have spearheaded the creation and financing of successful businesses and programs designed to fill critical gaps identified by community members. These include: pathways to opportunity for people without a traditional post secondary degree, founding a social finance loan fund, legislation to boost business opportunities and access to capital for cooperatives, a national health strategy and action plan in partnership with indigenous communities, and a model one stop program for people experiencing homelessness. I have deep roots in the cooperative and credit union systems, where I served as a CEO, developer and business advisor.
