OKADA Tomohiro (Japanese), was born in Matsumoto, JAPAN. He is Ph.D. at Tokyo University of the Arts (東京藝術大学) in Arts Policy, graduated from The University of Tokyo(東京大学) with M.A. in information studies, and Kyushu Institute of Design with M.S. in visual art and design studies, and has been the director of non profit new media culture and social development nation wide initiative, the Creative Cluster, NPO, of Japan, also the director of culture and ICT policy and planning consultancy company, Cool States Communications Laboratories of Tokyo. He has been interested in social innovation as a result of cultures using communication technology and new media. He has worked on pre-production investigations and project start-up activities and curating and developing new media art and design field in Japan such as Japan Media Arts Festival (Agency of Cultural Affair), Yokohama City Art Network, DiVA (Digital and interactive/information Visual Art Research Completion and Exhibition), Global Media -OTAKU- (Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photograph), Electrical Fantasista, Evolution Cafe and Y Innovation (Ministry of Economics and Trade and Industry and Yokohama City Government), Creative Cafe OSAKA (Osaka City Government), Digital Art Festival Tokyo (NHK 日本放送協会), Ars Electronica in Japan, and evaluating and advising of creative economy and social development policy for local governments in nation wide Japan (Osaka, Nagoya, Sendai, Shibuya, Yamaguchi, etc...) and has written and edited for international publications in the fields of new media culture and art and design.
